Nienhiser Picks Up 9th Win of Season

PETERSEN MEDIA: Despite a string of some tough luck keeping Paul Nienhiser out of Iowa this past week, the Chapin, IL driver was able to team up with his good friend Caleb Wankel and picked up their second consecutive win at Jacksonville Speedway together.

“We had plans of at least running Oskaloosa, IA last week, but a tough go at Ironman dashed those plans,” Nienhiser said. “Still, was able to race with some good friends and score another win, so not to bad of a week by any means.”

A week removed from a tough go at the Ironman 55 in his family owned car that saw him finish 19thand 24th, Nienhiser was able to grab his eight win of the season on August 4thin 305ci action with the Wankel Motorsports team.

Forced to fill in on the Sides Motorsports crew during the festivities in Knoxville and Oskaloosa, IA over the week with equipment being repaired and replenished, Nienhiser and Wankel decided to give it a go again on Sunday night at Jacksonville Speedway.

Nienhiser would flex his muscle early in the program on Sunday as he would lead his heat race from start to finish before lining up fourth in the feature event.

From his second row starting position, Nienhiser continued to show tremendous speed as he powered to the lead within the first five laps of the feature event. Once in front, nobody had anything for Nienhiser who quickly began leaving the field behind in a big way.

Capping a stellar night, Nienhiser would go on to take the checkered flag and pocket his ninth feature event of the season.

“It was a fun week from working with the Sides team at the Nationals to getting home and getting another win at Jacksonville,” Nienhiser said. “I am really looking forward to this week ahead.”

Nienhiser would like to thank CAM2 Blue Blood Racing Oil, Mason Sound, Innovative Design, Bradshaw Custom Pumping, Wessler Bros.
